CLASS 2014
The Class of 2014 is a Programme which aims at helping students to achieve to the best of their ability in school. It is run by the University of Limerick and St. Enda’s Community School is the first school ever to have this programme. What do we do:
We give Life Coaching to students, there is individual Life Coaching and Coaching as part of class programmes. We provide a Counselling service which is available to all Year Groups.
We arrange for your child to get extra help with subjects if they are having difficulty. We run programmes to help with reading, writing and maths. We have a Homework Club that runs each day for one hour after school. Each day one Teacher and a Student Teacher from the University help the children to do their homework. It is great for the Students as they have their homework done when they get home!
We believe very strongly in rewarding those who make a big effort in school. Already this year some students have been to fitness programmes in the University Arena and very soon the First Years are going on a trip to the University of Limerick Activity Centre in Killaloe for a day of fun.
We visit Parents and Guardians to make sure that they are up to date on how their child is doing in school. We link Students, Teachers and Parents to the University of Limerick. It has so many resources available to students to help them on their journey through Secondary School and into Third Level, in fact we don’t have enough room in the newsletter to write about everything!
